The name of the complex, Purmerpoort, comes from one of the four city gates that used to stand around the city.
Apartment:
At the end of the gallery is the front door of this beautifully located corner apartment. Big advantage is that there are no windows adjacent to the gallery, giving you a lot of privacy. In the L-shaped hall is laminate and on part of the walls is a paneling made. To the right in the hall are the meter cupboard, a storage/laundry room, the toilet room and bathroom.
The living room, thanks to its location on the corner of the building, is very bright. A sliding door gives access to the balcony. In the adjacent toilet room with wall closet you can see that the same style has been applied. In the storage room, near the HR boiler, there is space for washing equipment.
Outside:
The terraces on the Koemarkt are very attractive to visit, but a private balcony is also very nice! There is enough space to sit outside together and the view is beautiful, towards the water of the Where. On one side the balcony is closed with glass, so you sit very sheltered but still have the view.
Surroundings:
For a night out, walk to one of the cafes or the Pop & Culture stage P3, right next to the railroad bridge. You can admire Purmerend, with a (rented) boat, from the water and around the town is a beautiful countryside with polders, fields and meadows. The A7 freeway provides good connections to Zaandam, the A10 ring road, Hoorn and the Afsluitdijk. There are also arterial roads towards Edam, Volendam, Monnickendam, the Beemster and Alkmaar.
