Layout
According to proper Aalsmeer custom, especially the entrance at the rear of the house is used. Logical, because it is close to the carport. The carport fits two cars. The back entrance is in the utility room. Here is the connection for the washer and dryer. From the pantry you walk into the kitchen. This is neat and equipped with appliances. The living room is tastefully decorated and offers nice views over the beautifully landscaped front garden and a wide ditch across the road. The official entrance is as usual at the front of the house and here are also the meter cupboard and toilet.
On the second floor, the landing gives access to the modern bathroom with walk-in shower and sink at the front of the house, a bedroom at the front, a bedroom at the rear with a sink and through a practical closet wall the more than spacious master bedroom from which through double doors the large roof terrace is accessible. Incidentally, the roof terrace is also accessible via a spiral staircase from the first floor. So guests do not have to go through the bedroom to get upstairs. On the roof terrace there is an outdoor kitchen with hot and cold running water and a refrigerator.
The attic is accessible via a narrow, steep staircase. Here are two dormers made so that the attic can serve perfectly as a (children's) room. There is plenty of storage space and the central heating boiler is located in the attic.
Garden
The front garden has a decent area and is beautifully landscaped. Located on the south/east, this is a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by. For more privacy and full sun exposure, the roof terrace is a nice place to celebrate summer until well after sunset alone, together or with friends.
Aalsmeer
Aalsmeer is conveniently located in the Randstad. Easily accessible and a short distance from Amsterdam, Haarlem, the coast and highways. The Westeinder Plassen are a unique nature and recreation area. Along the Uiterweg are many marinas and along the Stommeerweg is even a beach. There are plenty of catering establishments and for stores, sports facilities, health care, schools and child care you never have to cycle far. A rich club life ensures that there is something to do in the village every weekend. The Uiterweg is a cul-de-sac for cars. By bike you get on the ferry across the ring canal of Haarlemmermeer and end up in the center of Rijsenhout. About ten minutes away by bike is an R-net bus stop with a direct connection to the NS station in Hoofddorp. One stop away you get on the Schiphol Circle line. Two stops in the other direction takes you to the bus station in Aalsmeer with bus connections to all directions. To the bus station it is about fifteen minutes by bike. By car you will be in the center of Amsterdam within half an hour.
