Why did you ever buy this house?
‘We bought this house in February 2023 to live there with my daughter. We were looking for a spacious flat, in a new-build area and not too far from the centre of Amsterdam. This flat stood out for us because of its space, light and atmosphere. Moreover, the tram stop is right outside the door, which made it extra attractive.’
What makes this house so nice to live in?
‘The house is wonderfully light from early morning to evening. The view is fantastic, overlooking Diemerpark, the Johan Cruijff Arena in the distance and ever-changing cloud cover. The spacious feel and large balcony are lovely, perfect for having lunch outside, barbecuing or throwing a party. But most importantly is the warm atmosphere of the house. Every day I felt at home here.’
What appeals to you about the residential area?
‘The location offers the best of both worlds: you live in a quiet neighbourhood but are in the centre of Amsterdam within 16 minutes. In addition, you can be on the ring road in just 5 minutes. All amenities are close by: a school across the street, the IJburg shopping centre within walking distance and a cosy market around the corner every Wednesday.’
What is the reason for your departure?
‘My daughter is now 19 and living on her own now that she has started studying. This went quicker than expected, but is of course great for her! In addition, I have found a great new love and we are going to make a new start together in the centre of Amsterdam.’
