A balcony on both sides and a separate storage room. Although everything is within walking and cycling distance, parking is also free. Location and accessibility The house is located in the Slotermeer district, which is known as a green family neighbourhood. Bos en Lommerplein on one side and Plein 40-45 with market on the other. Sloterdijk station is a 5-minute walk away and there are many new buildings there too, and a new school and childcare will soon be built. By bike, you can be in the centre of Amsterdam in 15 minutes. For buses and the tram you walk 5 minutes to the Burgemeester de Vlugtlaan. What more could you want, ideal right? Layout flat first floor Next to the entrance on the left through a separate door is the storage room. Via the stairwell, the maisonette flat is reached. Resident speaking: Over 20 years ago, my partner and I came to view a flat here in the street, but unfortunately it too was much too small for us. The estate agent was having an open house on the same street and we were allowed to come along. It was clearly a DIY property. However, the more I looked around the more enthusiastic I became and when I saw the garden I was sold and now the house, I thought. When I bought the house I knew what I wanted to convert, the 3 bedrooms to the garden, convert them into a kitchen and a living room by having a load-bearing wall removed and the too-small kitchen upstairs converted into a bathroom. The conversion of the kitchen into a bathroom only took place in 2017. The last job was in 2020, when a new garden fence and shed were installed. It is lovely living here, enjoying the birds passing by in the morning , sometimes hedgehogs and frogs. The neighbourhood is pleasant, there are several schools, playgrounds, shops, cosy eateries and in summer several activities are organised. Have you also become enthusiastic? Then make an appointment soon and I will show you around. See you soon. What do you think are the most important elements about the house that make it nice to live in? The house gives a very spacious feeling. A private front and back door, especially the large garden, ideal for having lunch or dinner outside, barbecues and parties. In addition, a great place to let the children play outside independently. They can scoot, ride bikes and even space for chickens. What do you think are the most appealing elements of the living area? The best of both worlds, living in a quiet area, but within 15 minutes by bike in the heart of the city, furthermore, the A10 ring road, A5 and N200 are a short distance away if you need to get out of the city by car. In addition, all amenities are nearby: schools, shopping centres within walking distance and a market around the corner. What is the reason for your departure? The house is too big now that the children have left home.
