Description
Are you looking for a beautiful, spacious home in one of The Hague's most popular and child-friendly neighborhoods? Then this extremely charming 3-story duplex in Zeeheldenkwartier is exactly what you are looking for. Various authentic details such as stained glass windows, original suite separation, marble fireplace, ornamental ceiling, stair railings, and panel doors are still present.
This house has its own website, the link for this can be found under the button download brochure!
This stunning upper house offers a perfect combination of charm and modern living comfort. With no less than 5 bedrooms, 2 modern bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, and a large terrace, this house is ideal for families or for those looking for extra space.
Very conveniently located on the edge of The Hague city center, near arterial roads and public transport stops that quickly take you to Scheveningen beach, Central Station, and the A-12 highway. Several shopping streets such as Frederikstraat, Piet Heinstraat, and Reinkenstraat are within walking distance. All have cozy cafés and excellent restaurants. On Thursdays, there is an organic market on Prins Hendrikplein. Various activities are also organized in the neighborhood, including the Zeeheldenfestival.
The Scheveningen beach, sea, and boulevard are approximately a 15-minute bike ride away. The center of The Hague can be reached by bike within 5 minutes.
Layout:
The entrance is at street level. Behind the front door is a hall with a meter cupboard, and a gently sloping staircase takes you to the 1st floor.
Upon arriving on the 1st floor, you immediately notice that the landing is different from standard. A part of the landing has been removed to create a spacious, modern toilet with a washbasin and wall-mounted toilet seat, and on the other side, a part has been added to ingeniously create a large wardrobe.
The L-shaped living-dining room at the front with an ornamental ceiling gets a lot of light through 3 large sliding windows with stained glass transoms and which are equipped with blinds. Due to the L-shaped layout, there is a corner that is ideal for use as a play area for the children or as a workspace for the parents. Through the original suite separation with stained glass sliding doors and 4 fixed cupboards, you enter the back room which, by combining it with the kitchen, has been transformed into a spacious living kitchen (approx. dining room with open kitchen). The kitchen is equipped with a 5-burner gas hob, electric oven, stainless steel extractor hood, freestanding Smeg fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and stainless steel sink with mixer tap. Also, at the back, the large windows provide a lot of light, and the beautiful shutters combined with the marble fireplace add extra atmosphere. The entire living floor is fitted with a wooden floor.
Arriving on the landing of the 2nd floor, the sleeping floor, you see that the 2nd toilet is located here and there is a spacious built-in wardrobe with space for the washing machine and dryer. Next to the stairs is the 2nd toilet. At the front are 2 bedrooms. The right bedroom is very spacious and has a large walk-in closet. The left room is used as a children's room. Both front bedrooms have beautiful stained glass transoms. At the back is also a spacious bedroom which, through double doors, provides access to a large terrace with morning and early afternoon sun. The modern, cozy bathroom is also located at the back. It has a spacious walk-in shower with a thermostat tap, a freestanding bathtub, a vanity unit, a towel radiator, and underfloor heating.
The staircase to the 3rd floor was newly installed a few years ago. Not a steep staircase, as standard, but a normal staircase which, like the landing, is beautifully lit by the overhead skylight. On this floor is a spacious bedroom at the front with plenty of storage space behind the knee walls. At the back is the rear bedroom (currently used as an office room) combined with the landing, but it can also be easily separated again for use as a bedroom. Between both spacious (bed) rooms is the 2nd bathroom with a shower equipped with a thermostat tap, a vanity unit, the 3rd toilet, a towel radiator, and a large Velux skylight.
In short, a centrally located beautiful characteristic house in a very popular neighborhood which is definitely worth a visit.
