Within walking distance of the house is the NS station Abcoude with excellent connections to Amsterdam and Utrecht. Amsterdam Amstel Station, for example, can be reached within 12 minutes by train from Abcoude. Also in summer or during harsh winters, living in Abcoude is a joy. You live within cycling distance of the Vinkeveen lakes where there are swimming islands and cozy restaurants. With a boat you sail via the Angstel or 't Gein in no time to Amsterdam, the Vinkeveense Plassen or the Vecht.
