Description
Beautiful 1930s corner house of 162m2, equipped with every conceivable luxury: kitchen with cooking island, oak flooring, fireplace, three complete bathrooms, four toilets, no less than five bedrooms, sunny garden on the South-West and East and located on a forest edge, so no neighbours over.
This turn-key house can be moved in after consultation and is ideal for (larger) families or families with an au-pair. Your own tiny house of 17m2 is perfect for your eldest child, your guests, the au-pair, but above all offers good rental income via AirBnB. Currently 5 bedrooms in total, but an extra room can easily be realised. The corner location gives you access to a large plot with a sunny and sheltered garden.
SURROUNDINGS:
Location and neighbourhood in one word beautiful! The Randwijck district borders Amsterdam Buitenveldert. By bike you are within ten minutes at the shops at Gelderlandplein or Stadshart Amstelveen. For daily shopping, the shops on Buitenveldertselaan (3 min cycling) are the designated location with various fresh shops. Here you will find a vegetable shop, a cheese shop, a chocolaterie and much more. The Rembrandtweg (4 min cycling) includes a butcher, greengrocer, florist, chemist and a Jumbo. Within walking distance include an AH, a cosy coffee corner at Villa Randwijck, women's fashion and gift shop "LOT" (Love Our Things), sandwich shop "Gab", playgrounds and no fewer than three primary schools.
Public transport is excellent, accessibility to and from Amsterdam, Zuidas and Schiphol even with the presence of a night bus. Prefer to go by bike? Amsterdam city centre is a short distance away: with 15 minutes cycling, you're in the Vondelpark and five minutes later you're on the Leidseplein. Prefer to go by car? Connection to the A9, A10, A2 and A4 motorways is very good.
LAYOUT:
Through the sheltered front garden, with space for a nice bench or a seating area, you enter through the front door into the stately entrance hall with marble panelling. More than enough space for the cloakroom. Glass door to the hall, with a staircase to the upper floor, stairs cupboard/meter cupboard with storage space, separate w.c., floor heating and hand basin and then the door to the living area. You immediately notice how bright the house is due to the large windows at the front, the beautiful side extension, and French doors to the south-facing garden.
The open kitchen, with cooking island, is equipped with oven, magnetron, five-burner gas hob, extractor, two separate sinks, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Also via the kitchen access to the sunny garden.
The garage has been turned into an independent living space, which is currently used for AirBnB (a real tiny house), but could perfectly serve as guest accommodation, or for your elderly child, or for the au-pair or as office space. Multifunctional, because this tiny house is insulated, has heating, its own kitchen and bathroom with toilet.
The living kitchen with doors to the garden: this is where your family and guests will enjoy many dinners and barbecues. The east-facing side garden is nice and cool on hot summer days.
In winter, enjoy the kitchen and living room in a different way, as the house has a fireplace.
The garden is tiled and therefore low-maintenance, there is water supply and a stone shed complete the picture.
The first floor is reached via a spacious staircase. The landing gives access to the bathroom, three bedrooms and stairs to the second bedroom floor. The master bedroom has a built-in wardrobe, is located at the rear and has access to the balcony. The family bathroom has a washbasin cabinet, storage cupboard, a w.c., bidet, towel radiator, a large walk-in shower and of course floor heating. What's nice is that the bathroom has a window adjacent to the balcony. The second bedroom is very spacious, has a built-in wardrobe and, like the third bedroom, is located at the front.
A fixed staircase leads to the attic floor, which is currently a large master bedroom. High ceilings, 3 velux skylights, with rain sensor and remote control for blackout, and front and rear opening windows. Wam machine connection and currently a bathroom-en-suite with shower, w.c. and washbasin. More than enough space to create two full-size bedrooms and full bathroom.
