Our modern apartment complex immediately stands out because of its special architecture and from here you can reach the ferry in 3 minutes. Just a 5-minute boat ride and you are on the other side of Pontsteiger, from where the center of Amsterdam can easily be reached on foot or by bike. The ferry to central station takes about 12 minutes and by car you can reach the A10 ring road within a few minutes. It's wonderful to be close to everything. The access via the stairwell and elevator on both sides of the complex is also very nice. This allows you to go directly to Albert Heijn and other shops on the other side of the complex. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. There is also a gym in the building (Trainmore), so you almost have no excuse not to go. A lot is still being developed at NDSM, which means that more and more new nice places are being added.
We greatly appreciate the peace and quiet in Hellingstraat, where there is no traffic and mainly residents come from the Pontkade. The courtyard garden is a soothing place to relax. Compared to our previous home in the center, we experience no nuisance from noise from outside or the neighbors in our apartment, which was a relief for us.
There is a separate scooter shed and a separate bicycle shed downstairs in the building. It's nice to park your bicycle and/or scooter inside. Access to the common area has camera surveillance, which gives a safe feeling. There are two caretakers present during the day who take care of all the chores in the common areas and take care of maintenance. There is also a permanent cleaner and window cleaner who ensure that everything stays fresh. You can easily have packages delivered to the parcel box that you can open with an app. All this is neatly arranged by the VVE. Very luxurious!
