In the vicinity there are many nice restaurants and cafe with lovely terraces on the water. Through the nearby ferry (500m) there is a ferry connection to the northern IJ-oevers including various restaurants and a cinema. On KNSM-Laan there are many beautiful (interior) stores, including "Sissy Boy". Every Wednesday there is an organic market in the Eastern Docklands. By car you are within minutes via the IJ or Piet Hein tunnel on the A-10 ring road.
