Surroundings:
In the middle of the last century, the NSDM yard (Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij) was the largest shipyard in the world.
In the early 1980s, the industrial era came to an end and the NSDM went bankrupt. From a shipyard it became a cultural breeding ground. Artists and cultural entrepreneurs have been increasingly visiting Noord since the turn of the millennium. This became an event with the arrival of the North-South line. The A'dam Tower and Eye film museum became crowd pullers. From around 2030, Port-City will be developed and North will become the center of Amsterdam.
