Heijmans Bouw took care of the realisation in 2007. The houses are optimally insulated and fully equipped with underfloor heating and a CO-2 mechanical ventilation system. The anthracite-coloured bricks are combined with white plastic window frames with HR++ glass. The large windows let in light and give a feeling of freedom. It is not without reason that this 'Twentyseven' project was awarded the 2009 Architecture Prize.
Access to the parking spaces under the building is via a remote-controlled fence. The private car park is thus covered. There are also 4 visitor parking spaces and a communal bicycle shed. The service costs are € 89,- per month.
The Beurtvaartstraat is located in the centre but is a car-free street where the houses are built along the Grift. The rainwater runs via artworks in the form of lily pads into the Grift. The beautiful trees along the water give the street a green character. The location is surprisingly quiet, but once you leave the street, you walk straight into the centre of Apeldoorn with its varied range of shops, Tivoli cinema, Orpheus theatre, various restaurants and entertainment venues. In addition, you are within a few minutes by bike on the Veluwe, near the station (500 m) and the highways towards Amersfoort, Arnhem and Zwolle.

The terrace has anthracite-coloured synthetic decking and allows the interior and exterior to flow seamlessly together. Here you can already enjoy beautiful sunny days in the spring.
The U-shaped kitchen unit with peninsula is finished in high-gloss white and has a granite worktop. The kitchen is a paradise for the amateur cook because of the work and storage space and the available Smeg appliances: stainless steel intermediate cooker with 6 gas burners including a wok burner, large 90 cm oven, extractor hood, dishwasher, combi oven-microwave coffee maker, induction hob with extractor hood, fridge and a combi oven. Around the peninsula you can sit with stools. Very cosy for a dinner with family or friends.
2nd floor:
The large bedroom at the rear has a large wardrobe and space for a double bed. Through a sliding door, the second roof terrace is accessible. It makes it possible to leave the sliding door open at night or even to sleep under the stars.
The second bedroom is currently furnished as a guest room. The large window offers a view here. The luxurious bathroom is fully tiled with anthracite-coloured tiles and is equipped with a walk-in shower with thermostat, washbasin with mirror, lighting and a high cabinet. The second toilet makes it complete.
