Detail: This house was once designed by the family architect of the Van Heek family, for himself. That explains the richness in the detailing. Fortunately, most of it has been preserved over time, and previous owners, as well as the current owners, have always made changes with respect for the house. Therefore, it now stands as a home full of character, yet with modern comforts.
Layout:
The special nature of this house is hard to capture in words, so be sure to look at the floor plans, the photos, and the video. Because here follows just a dry description.
Ground Floor: We begin the tour at the front door. Behind it unfolds a spacious entrance with the toilet and staircase on the left. Straight ahead, a door leads to the kitchen. On the right, we first find the meter cupboard and at the back, the door to the living room. In the living room, three things stand out. It is wonderfully light, in the front room we see the centrally placed and freestanding fireplace, and those who look to the rear are surprised by the view of the conservatory, a real asset to this living room.
