You live here on the lively Amsterdamsestraatweg, less than 10 minutes by bike from Utrecht Central Station. But around the corner you will also find lovely green and quiet spots. Almost directly opposite your house you will find Brandstofl, where you can get the most delicious sandwiches. The Pastrami Special sandwich is our favourite. But Bagels & Beans is also a favourite spot. On the Plantage you will find not only all the shops for your daily groceries, but also Satriales, known for its delicious pizzas. Moos has a fantastic sunny terrace where you can enjoy delicious speciality beers. A little tip: although Thai Chili may not look that cosy, the food is absolutely delicious. Looking for a gift? Then take a look at Winkel vol Winkeltjes or &Meer - you will definitely succeed. On Wednesdays, there is a market on the Plantage with the tastiest cheeses, fish and nuts. But our personal favourites are a bit further afield - we love lunch at The Food Club and love the delicatessen Van Rijk. 't Dikkertje is also highly recommended. Especially the Moussaka.
Studio
The first thing you notice is the light shining in through the large windows. You can sit in the window seat in the sunshine and look out on everything that happens on Amsterdamsestraatweg. The fresh look of the flat is enhanced by the light cast floor poured in 2021. Clear attention has been paid to storage space. There is a spacious storage cupboard in the hallway, but extra storage space is also available elsewhere in the corridor and downstairs. A communal bike shed is available for parking your bike. Redesign of Amsterdamsestraatweg
The final design is now complete, with more bicycle parking spaces, wide pavements and green spaces. In the summer of 2024 they will start with the redevelopment Extra space has been reserved for trees and plants, making the street greener and healthier than ever before. With 5 times as much greenery and 2,500 m2 of additional green spaces, Amsterdamsestraatweg will be future-proofed. The street will be adapted to better cope with extreme climate changes, such as improving drainage during heavy rainfall and creating cooling during hot summers through plants and trees.
