From the terrace you can see many of Amsterdam’s famous landmarks and get a powerful sense of the variety and togetherness that I love about this city. The study, with its bright skylight, has also been a highlight of the apartment for me. This spacious room provides a wonderful and inspiring location for reading and working. The kitchen has a lovely island unit with bar stools underneath. It was built by my father and so has a special meaning for me. It is lovely to sit here with a glass of wine looking out into the branches of the huge trees towering up towards the sunlight and listening to the chirping of the parakeets. I cannot pass on these fond memories to the future owner of Kanaalstraat 50, but I do hope to pass on the opportunity to enjoy these spaces as much as I have. New Balcony: The current balcony will soon be replaced with a new balcony that is 1.50 meters deep. The costs for the design and obtaining the official permits have already been paid. The construction costs are the responsibility of the buyer of the apartment. A contractor has been selected for the work, which is expected to be completed in the summer. This expansion not only provides extra outdoor space but also significantly enhances living comfort.
