Neighbourhood
The property is located in the Belgian Quarter, a quiet residential area in Nieuw Sloten that is characterised by lots of greenery, wide avenues and a child-friendly environment. The neighbourhood was built in 1992 on the spot where the Olympic Village was planned. When those games went to Barcelona, an architecturally interesting neighbourhood was built here.
Kasterleepark is literally at the end of the street and shopping centre Belgium Square is within walking distance. Here you will find, among other things, two large supermarkets, a fish shop, a bakery, florist, bookshop, etc. and the cosy Grand café Thijs.
For greenery and wide views, you can go in two directions: the Sloterplas or the recreational area Het Nieuwe Meer. A walk in De Oeverlanden nature reserve, a refreshing morning dive in Het Nieuwe Meer or a coffee at Aquarius on the waterfront, it's all close by.
Sportpark Sloten is also close by with various sports clubs and Amsterdam's oldest meadow, now a protected nature reserve, lies between the historic village of Sloten and the Nieuw Sloten district.
OV
Bus N88. Tram 1 has a stop at Pieter Calandlaand and tram 2 has a stop at Belgium Square, both less than a 10-minute walk away. There is access to the Ring A10 via Antwerpbaan and the A4 towards Schiphol Airport is also nearby.
