Description
Extended semidetached house with 2 bedrooms (formerly 3), attic and large barn in the pleasant and beautiful Westzaan at a short (cycling) distance from the center of Zaandam.
This house has been considerably enlarged by extending the ground floor and the 1st floor at the back (1988). As a result, a lot of practical space has been created on both the ground floor and the 1st floor. From the bedroom at the rear there is an oblique view of the meadows at the rear. In recent years, the owner has had an electric 90 liter boiler + 9 solar panels and a pellet stove installed. Since then, no gas has been used in the house, but the central heating boiler and a gas connection are still present. Sloterdijk is only 8 km, Dam Square 12 km. Sports fields (football and tennis) and a primary school are in the immediate vicinity. For daily shopping you can go to the nearby Dekamarkt.
Layout:
Entrance with access to the living room. The living room is nice and light due to the large windows at the front and back. There are wooden floorboards on the floor. A pellet stove provides the necessary warmth and atmosphere. At the rear is a semi-open kitchen, which is equipped with various built-in appliances such as a dishwasher, combi oven, induction hob, refrigerator and freezer. At the rear is also a utility room, where the toilet is located under the stairs. In the utility room is the arrangement of the washing machine, the electric boiler and the central heating, which is not (or no longer) in use. Through the back door is access to the garden.
1st floor:
The open staircase leads to the spacious landing. At the rear is a spacious (master) bedroom with, as mentioned earlier, a diagonal view of the meadows. Central at this floor is the large bathroom. The bathroom has a shower, a bathtub, a bidet and a sink. The connection for the washing machine is also located here. At the front is the 2nd bedroom. The space on the landing at the front used to be a (3rd) bedroom. Here it is fairly easy to make a 3rd bedroom again by placing a dividing wall. There is carpet on the floor (bathroom tarpaulin). A practical staircase leads to the attic/storage space under the ridge.
Attic:
The attic with a ridge height of 1.98m can be used as storage space, but also as a sleeping area of the 3rd bedroom: the dream of every teenager!
Garden:
To the front is a fairly low maintenance garden. The backyard is quite deep and in the back is a spacious shed of over 27 m2 (5.80 m x 4.72 m). The backyard is accessible from the house through the back door, but also via the shared alley on the side.
